High Voltage Transmission Tower

High voltage transmission towers are structures used to support high-voltage or ultra-high voltage overhead transmission line conductors and lightning protection wires. They are mainly used in power transmission systems with voltage levels of 110kV and above, ensuring safe and efficient long-distance transmission of electrical energy.

In terms of voltage levels, 330kV to 500kV belong to the category of ultra-high voltage (EHV) and are used for long-distance and high-capacity transmission; Beyond 800kV is ultra-high voltage (UHV), which can achieve six times the transmission distance and five times the transmission capacity of conventional lines. For example, the 500kV cross-border transmission project between China and Laos has significantly enhanced the clean energy exchange capacity between regions.

Modern high-voltage transmission towers also integrate intelligent monitoring technology, such as drone inspection and AI defect recognition, greatly improving operation and maintenance efficiency and safety. At the same time, environmentally friendly construction methods such as cableway transportation and topsoil stripping are widely used to reduce ecological impact.
